Задачи:

T. Good afternoon, children! (Слайд № 1-2)
- Today we will have an unusual lesson.
-We are going to speak about music. We’ll discuss music and interesting activities
at the lesson

Организационный момент. (Слайд № 3)
T. Now we are going to divide into two groups. Pull a card. Children who chose
the lollypop are the first team. Children who chose the bubbles are the second
team.
-You’ll take part in a very interesting competition. You should work hard to help
your team to win. Be creative and attentive.
-Let’s start our game.
Task 1: «Music styles»
T. You should name different styles of music, you must tell words in English. The
team that is the last to say a word will be a winner.

T. And now we’ll speak about classical music. What famous composers do you
know?

Task 6: «What do you know about Tchaikovsky?» (Слайд №12)
T. And again we’ll turn our attention to classical music. Read please, some
information about our famous Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
-You will have several minutes to do the task.

Tchaikovsky was an outstanding Russian composer. He was born in Votkinsk in
1840. Pyotr Ilyich graduated from the Petersburg Conservatoire in 1866. He was
the best pupil of Anton Rubinstein. When the Moscow Conservatoire was founded
he Pyotr Ilyich became a professor there. He created wonderful music: ten operas,
three ballets, six symphonies, seven large symphonic poems and many other
musical pieces.
“Eugene Onegin, a new type of opera, was a great success all over the world. His
“Swan Lake”, “the Nutcracker”, “The sleeping Beauty” are musical masterpieces.
Besides, Tchaikovsky was a great conductor.
