Урок-путешествие «Достопримечательности Лондона»

Класс: 5
Цели урока: 1. совершенствование умения говорить по теме в монологической и диалогической речи; 2. развитие способностей к продуктивной речевой деятельности, к обобщению. Задачи урока: 1. систематизировать и обобщить изученный материал по теме «Faces of London» 2. развивать логическое мышление, творческую мыслительную деятельность, наблюдательность, кругозор, память учащихся; 3. прививать интерес к знакомству со страной изучаемого языка 4. расширить знания о Великобритании.
Ход урока
I. Орг. момент. -Good morning my dear boys and girls, our guests and teachers! I’m glad to meet you at our lesson! Sit down, please! II. Актуализация знаний, формулирование темы урока. Teacher: Have you ever been to London? Ss: No, I haven’t. / I’ve never been to London. Teacher: Would you like to go to London? Ss: Yes, I would Teacher: Would you like to learn more about the capital of the UK? Teacher: I offer you to visit it. Would you? -Let’s begin our tour. We will go there by ship. There are 2 teams: “Brave seamen” and “Funny guard”. Lets meet together. The captains: Филипп и Валентин. I’ll give you the tasks and at the end of our trip you must guess the word. III. Фонетическая зарядка. Read these words all together. Find the missing sounds. [?] – travel, capital, gallery [e?] – play, place, stadium [ju:] – museum, new, beautiful [?] – big, different, bridge [?:] – park, car, partner [i:] – see, meet, week [e?] – square, where, hare
IV. Речевая разминка -When you travel in other countries and cities you can see a lot of interesting places. What are they? Ss: museums, galleries, monuments, theatres, parks, square, etc. -What places is London rich in? Take the map and find the places of interests do you know. V. Монологическое высказывание. Выступление ребят. Lets start! The first stop is the White tower. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. Now it is a museum. You can see a lot of interesting things in the halls of this building. William the Conqueror built it in the 11 th century. Twelve black ravens live there. The second stop is Trafalgar square. It is the most beautiful place in London. In the middle of it a monument to Admiral Nelson is situated. The monument includes four bronze lions. There are two fountains in it. The next stop is Buckingham Palace. It is a wonderful building. The queen Victoria Memorial is in front of it. It takes you ten minutes to get from this building to Trafalgar square. The queen of Great Britain lives there. The forth stop is Westminster Abbey. It is more then 900 years old. There are many monuments and statues there. Many English kings and queens are buried there. It is of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. And the last stop is The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. They are long grey buildings with towers. The large clock in one of the towers is Big Ben. You can hear the sound of Big Ben every hour in London. The clock and the bell got there names after Sir Benjamin Hall. The members of the British Parliament work in these buildings. VI. The tasks. Match the two parts of word-expressions to get the names of the sights in London. Trafalgar Parliament Big Cathedral

(Поворачиваемся в стороны) Up in the air, (Смотрим по сторонам) Close your eyes – (Закрываем глаза) And you are there! (Открываем глаза) VIII. Teacher: Read the text and put the pictures in the correct order. While you read the text you must find out which sentences are true or false. Places to visit. London is the capital of England. It is its political and business centre. City is the oldest part of London. There are many banks and offices there. You can visit some interesting places in the city. One of them is the Tower of London. The
Tower of London was a fortress, a palace, a prison. Now it is the museum. One of the greatest English churches, St. Paul`s Cathedral, is not far from the Tower of London. The famous English architect, Sir Christopher Wren, built it in the 17 century. It is a beautiful building with many columns and towers. The centre of London is Trafalgar Square. It is the most beautiful place in London. In the middle of the square stands a tall column. It is a monument to Admiral Nelson. There are two beautiful fountains in the square. Every day many tourists visit Trafalgar Square. Текст читается один раз, затем ученики расставляют картинки в правильном порядке на доске. IX. Обобщающий лексический тест.
London is very interesting place I think we’ll learn more information about this city in our future. And now let’s check your knowledge. Look at me you can find the paper with this test.
